The Mission of PAIRS is to teach those attitudes, emotional understandings and behaviors that nurture and sustain healthy relationships.

The Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills (PAIRS) Program.

What is PAIRS?

Remember the "I Love Lucy" series? If you haven't seen if for a while, catch a re-run some time.

And when you do, notice the roles that Lucy and Ricky play. Not the acting roles, but the husband and wife roles. Ricky comes and goes from work, and Lucy fills her days with cooking, cleaning, and playing bridge. And while Lucy handles the social calendar, Ricky controls every cent of the money.

Well, begging for permission to buy a new outfit doesn't go over too well with wives today. And husbands are expected to not only hold down a job (along side their wives many times), but to help out with a myriad of household duties as well.

You see, marriage used entail dutifully executing certain roles. Raising children. Completing your "assigned jobs". --And being satisfied with that. No questions asked.

But marriage today is far different. No longer content to simply fulfill a list of designated chores, many men and women demand a deeper connection. They long for an intimate and fulfilling marriage to each other-- for a lifetime.

In fact, most couples even concede that a great marriage packs benefits for not just the themselves, but also for their children, their work-places, and their communities in general.

Recognizing this longing for intimacy and stability that most couples have, PAIRS helps you get there.

PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills), developed by Lori H. Gordon, Ph.D, ( http://www.pairs.com/about/logic_lori.html)  provides a comprehensive system to enhance self-knowledge and to develop the ability to sustain pleasurable intimate relationships. Gordon’s approach integrates a wide range of theories and methods from psychology, education and psychotherapy and presents them in an educational format. PAIRS acts to bridge therapy, marital enrichment, and marriage and family development

In many homes, adolescent hostility and resistance wreak havoc on parent/child relationships. And, if we’re really honest, we’ll admit that we as parents don’t always help with our reactions!

Get a huge head-start on your marriage and learn impactful techniques that will save you from years of misery, misunderstandings, and possibly even divorce.

Time well-spent for every couple anticipating marriage.

Testimonies

"Pairs has made a huge difference in our lives. Our communication is better than it has ever been, and if it starts to get off, I know we have the tools to get it back on track.

Because of significantly better communication skills, I think our level of trust and safety in the marriage has gone up.

I recommend this course to everyone who is willing to work (use the PAIRS tools) to improve their marriage and their relationships in general."

-Susan,
