Never Wrong

Kevin and Theresa are self-made millionaires. Their construction company has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 20 years, and they've put in thousands of hours together to make their business successful.

Theresa's perfectionistic tendencies were terrific in those early business days. Everything had to be done exactly right, or she wasn't happy.

But now her perfectionist personality is wreaking havoc in their marriage. Because she is so afraid to mess up, she constantly makes sure Kevin is the one to make the mistakes.

For instance, if she has a flat tire, she'll call Kevin to ask what she should do. When Kevin tells her to take it to the local tire shop, she disagrees and belittles him for making such a dumb suggestion. He walks away frustrated that he just lost... again.

Theresa manipulates every situation to be sure that if anything goes wrong, it's Kevin's fault.

Theresa's main problem is insecurity herself. Afraid to make a mistake, she constantly puts Kevin in the position of having to make all the decisions. But she criticizes every decision he makes... every motive she perceives he has... everything he says. That way, when anything goes wrong, she finds herself having the "upper hand", because she announced what Kevin said or did was stupid to begin with.

She's never wrong, but she's killing the marriage.
